OUR MISSION
It is important for children to have access to and exposure to the literature. Educators, parents, and community members should help students develop a love of reading through all sorts of stories so they can succeed at school or work settings as well as have other values such as creativity that come from being read by engaging them with different genres while also exposing kids early enough before the critical years where these habits become ingrained into who you are
I found Donna Norton’s book Through The Eyes Of A Child: How Children Reading Inform And Inspire Our Lives (2010) which discusses this topic very insightful because it talks about how both adults’ lives would change without their desire note: developing empathy towards others comes naturally after experiencing things first hand
